Great museum, but stay away during current removation

点评：The Bilbao Fine Art Museum has one of the best collections of Spanish art, so I allocated a whole day to visit it. As it appears, at the time of my visit, the museum was undergoing a major renovation, and none of its main collection was available to view. Unfortunately, it was not clearly spelled out on the museum Web site. The new, spacious part of the museum was still open, and the museum kindly offers free access to it. However, instead of showing at least some parts of its famed collection, the museum decided to use it for temporary exhibitions. I found a few interesting objects, but the whole experience fell short of my expectations. Overall, these exhibitions seem not to have appealed to the museum's usual visitors either. I encountered just about 10 other visitors during my whole stay. On the positive side, the renovation project looks impressive and, when completed, will enable the museum to showcase more of its famed collection.
