Great Park but transportation from it into Adelaide is a challenge

点评：The Park entrance price is reasonable. We signed up for a Koala Back Stage tour which was quite expensive for what you get. We did it because we thought we would be able to hold and feed Koalas. We were mistaken. We were allowed to put some eucalyptus branches near the Koalas which they may or may not try to eat. We were not allowed to touch them or hold them. The Koala handlers did their best to take pictures of us with the Koala. The park itself is VERY nice. Lots of trees for the animals. They have open space to roam and natural habitants. Some will come up to let you feed them. Watch out for the Emu. There is no sign to say don't feed them so we tried. The Emu's peak as it gets the food is 'painful'. It isn't a bite, but it is a hard jab. We visited on a weekend and it was not overly crowded. ONE word of caution- be careful regarding transportation. We easily got an UBER from Adelaide to the park, but NO UBER would pick us up to bring us back into Adelaide. They'd accept the ride, then immediately cancel it or they wouldn't accept it at all. Thankfully the park manager helped us and called a local taxi for us. The driver was very kind and the cost wasn't much more than the UBER. This is very strange as the park is only about 20 minutes from Adelaide city center. The message is be careful regarding transportation. There is a bus but it takes about 1 1/2 hours each way and you have to change buses so for a tourist it can be confusing. Also as you know, cars drive on the opposite side of the road from the US, Canada, Europe, etc so renting a car isn't really an easy option.
