点评:We recently attended a hockey game at the Lenovo Center, and there were definitely some positives. The graphics and in-arena presentation were very well done, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The game atmosphere was a lot of fun.
However, there were several things that made the experience frustrating.
First, the arena being completely cashless felt excessive. When I went to purchase a $6.50 bottle of water, the vendor simply held out an iPad for payment, and it immediately prompted me to leave a tip. This kind of thing contributes to serious tip fatigue. Tipping is meant for service, not for someone standing there while an iPad processes a payment.
The bigger issue was the seating. My husband is 6'4", and the seats were clearly not designed with taller guests in mind. The legroom was extremely limited, and he was very uncomfortable throughout the game. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have specifically tried to find an end seat or something with no rows directly in front of us.
Unfortunately, the lack of space eventually caused his legs to cramp badly enough that we ended up leaving the game early. That was disappointing after making the trip.
It feels like additional rows were added to maximize ticket sales, but the comfort of guests was not given the same priority. While we had fun during the portion of the game we were able to watch, the seating experience alone makes it unlikely that we will return.
