点评：My two friends and I had a fantastic trip with our guide, Nelson, from Africa Adventure Safaris (AAS). Traveling so far from home and planning over a holiday week felt like a big undertaking, but the experience could not have gone more smoothly.
The pre-trip planning process was flawless. The AAS team — specifically the coordinator, who was also named Nelson — was incredibly communicative and helpful, offering thoughtful itinerary suggestions, presenting hotel options that worked with our budget, and, most importantly, handling all the logistics and paperwork so we could visit the three primates we were most excited about: gorillas, chimps, and monkeys.
During the trip, our guide Nelson customized each day to our interests. He shared meaningful insights about Rwandan history and culture, helped translate when needed, and took care of all the little details behind the scenes — from fueling the car to arranging our lunches — so we could simply enjoy the experience.
Of course, the highlight was seeing the gorillas — a true bucket-list moment that surpassed every expectation!
I would highly recommend Africa Adventure Safaris — particularly our guide, Nelson — to anyone considering this trip. You won’t regret it.
