点评：Having dived with Iguana previously, I had no hesitation in booking another 2 dive excursion on this trip in December. Iguana are a thoroughly professional organization that is passionate about diving, marine life and the wider ecology of Costa Rica. Safety of the guests is a priority, with a detailed safety briefing before each dive. The ratio of guest divers to dive masters is kept low and groups are organized according to ability and experience. Thorough equipment checks are carried out before each dive and the equipment provided is up to date and well looked after. The boat skipper chooses the dive sites based on his experience and factors such as the tides and weather which might affect visibility, which is generally good at the 18m depth the dives go down to. Sea life is varied and abundant, with plenty of shark, octopus, lobster etc and shoals of smaller fishes to swim around or through. We were fortunate enough to meet a mother and calf humpback whale on our 20min trip out to the dive site.
Having satisfied myself on this first outing that I was physically OK to dive (I was the oldest diver by some margin), I booked another 2 outings during the rest of my stay. No more humpbacks, but there's always the chance to encounter dolphins and orcas and I'm going to keep going back til I see a manta ray!
