点评：We are an elderly couple who having loved boating holidays since the mid-1970's and owned our own boats from 2004 to 2017 had reached an age where we felt that we could no longer cope with boats and the attendant necessary work. However, we decided that we must still try to recreate the experiences for one more holiday. We tried Kris Cruisers on the River Thames and are so glad we did. We hired Lady Catherine for a week at the end of May 2026 and have bee delighted with the outcome. Kris Cruisers are a great little company to go to. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are all brilliantly friendly and caring, the boats are clean and well maintained and easy to use. A good demonstration run is arranged at the start of the holiday just about everything you could ever need is provided. (One small niggle here is that only the 5*luxe boats are provide with Kitchen paper towels. A small point that must have been decided by a man!) The main thing to suit us is that all the Thames locks are electric/hydraulic and mostly manned by EA lockkeepers. We could just stay on the boat and hold the lines. All in all a great holiday. We had to search for moorings, but found other boaters & lockkeepers very helpful. You only had to ask.
Lovely holiday and we are hoping to do it again.
