点评：We have just arrived back from our 5day break on Lady Catherine with Kris Cruisers. Having done the norfolk broads twice and working on boats on the tidal section of the Thames for a living, it was a bit of a busman holiday (for me) however having never been above Hampton Court and got to work the locks on our own it was something we had to try out.
We arrived at the yard and greeted by Paul and had a great tour around the boat by Jason who was knowledgeable and friendly.
Unfortunately we had two days of heavy rain and winds during our break but we put on waterproofs and loved every minute, being the end of the season we worked most locks ourselves with 4 lock keepers seen over the 5 days.
Lady Catherine is the perfect boat for couples, a good size double bed in the aft cabin and a nice setup with tv and dining area. The upper steering position was where we spent all day cruising and this also gave great views. The boat was easy to handle, super clean and well looked after and in our five days we got as far as Reading before making our way back to Windsor.
The only slight struggle we noticed was finding overnight free moorings provided by the EA. Most places were private moorings or charged an overnight fee. You can however stop at moorings such as Henley from 10-3 for free.
One recommendation of a nice quiet picturesque mooring location we found was on an island in Cliveden Reach and also Sonning bridge has free moorings outside the pub.
We would certainly use Kris Cruisers again 😀
