Workhouse Museum & Garden的点评
点评：We’ve been the museum before, and loved it, so as we were coming to Yorkshire with another family member, who has never been before, we thought we’d revisit the museum. We were, however, very disappointed to learn, after we had paid full ticket prices, that a large majority of the museum was under renovation. This meant that we could only go into a small amount of the museum.
We 100% appreciate that the museum needs renovating, however being charged full ticket prices, and only being told about the renovations after we had paid full price, left us very disappointed. There was also nowhere on their website to advise us of the renovations, otherwise we may have decided not to visit.
We were advised that they had put out extra displays due to parts of the museum being closed, however we didn’t notice anything extra. We were also given a free ticket to give to friends, when we return. However this is only useful if you’re a local, and not if you’re just visiting Yorkshire.
Visitors either need to be warned about the renovations, and how much is closed, before they visit or pay, or the museum needs to charge less, considering most of the museum is shut.
We have thoroughly enjoyed the museum on a previous visit, but unfortunately we can’t say the same on this occasion.
