点评：Look, this castle was never finished, so don’t expect much. You’re essentially looking at walls, no roof or inside rooms.
There’s not much history to learn because there is not much history to know. What they can tell you, is on a few board dotted around the castle. There is also a short film inside a hut with benches to learn more about who was building it and why it never finished.
Grounds are kept clean, grass cut, some muddy areas (December) and given its age some uneven footpath.
We took our dog who was allowed in all areas, including the film area, they advised to not take him up to the second floor but that suited us as it was steep tight stairs with not much low railing.
Tickets £10 each adult, £6 parking. We also walked around the area with some nice shops and cafes.
