Khandoba Temple的点评
点评：Visit to Jejuri Khandoba Mandir was great! If you are going on a Saturday or Sunday get an early start and try to be there by 7AM. It will still be crowded but you can get out in less than an hour by buying the 200 Rs. pass once you enter the temple area.
For Google Maps put “Khandoba mandir Jejuri” as address and it will take you to the “east entrance” which is the main entrance. When you see the steps for the mandir (at T junction almost at the end of google directions), make a right turn on that street and about 50-100 meters ahead you will see a large open parking area on the left side. Park there and you can walk for few minutes to access the steps to the temple. The steps are not too bad, if you are generally active you can get up to the temple in 10-15 mins max.
The temple has restrooms which are obviously not clean but they are okay compared to some other temples. There is no soap at the wash basin ( so carry your own soap, sanitizer if you need to use the restroom frequently).
With the Rs.200 per person pass you get quick access to the main temple for Darshan, which is a huge benefit. Inside be prepared to be dragged into some traditional puja and asked to offer money for annadan etc. It is not bad at all just be firm on the amount you want to give (I suggest Rs.500 inside and possibly Rs. 1500-2500 (can be less also depending on your capacity) for a small puja one of the local pandits will do for your family. It’s not bad just be prepared to experience it!
Overall Greta experience to see the golden Jejuri with all the turmeric around. Fun and spiritual experience.
