Didcot Railway Centre的点评
点评：And we ran out of time to see various displays behind the toilet block, including the Road Transport Hanger.
We visited on a Saturday and were able to park in the Station Road car park directly opposite the mainline station (£3.80 on the Ringgo app). From here, you walk to the other side of the station, under the platforms, to the entrance of the centre. It's a bit of a walk, but then there is also plenty of walking involved in visiting all parts of the site.
The two train trips available were both very short but you can ride as often as you want. The diesel train and carriage took you into (or from) the Transfer Shed which contains two replica broad gauge steam trains from the 1840s. One of these used to be operational, and may be again one day in the distance future. It is fascinating to compare these to the later steam trains.
The other passenger line was running a magnificent steam train which chuffed up and down all day. There is a reconstruction of a classic Brunel station building in progess at the far end. Occasionally, another diesel engine would be moving assorted rolling stock around the site and passing very close to the cafe area.
With the Engine Shed, Wagon and Carriage Shed, the Signalling Centre, Museum and many outdoor items including the turntable and Traverser we eventually ran out of time to see everything. Our visit was greatly enhanced by the volunteers that we met who were all engaging and very informative.
We brought our own sandwiches and only had cups of tea (with oat milk) from the cafe so can't comment on their food. Their coffee machine had conked out, so they were only able to offer (good quality) coffee bags. One of the cakes on display was vegan and another one was gluten-free.

我们自带了三明治，只在咖啡厅喝了茶（加燕麦奶），所以无法评价他们的食物。他们的咖啡机坏了，只能提供（品质不错的）袋装咖啡。展出的蛋糕中，一款是纯素的，另一款是无麸质的。
