Red Train rather than Glacier Express

点评：Advice- always make sure you are in the airport city the day before your flight.
Italian train strike today and a fellow traveller is looking at €500+ Uber. she also didn’t have travel insurance.
We made our own travel arrangements rather than package and went on red train rather than Glacier Express. Plenty of seats so booking on the day is easy. views are fantastic.
Tirano to Chur- sit on left side of train.
Trains are punctual and very busy at weekends especially Sunday.
Tirano- stunning
We stayed at bernina suites and hotel bernina. Both near the station and fantastic staff. English spoken at both.
Ate at Liberty restaurant in square by the station. We had a very good meal and staff most helpful.
Chur- Beautiful town. The cathedral is amazing and a cable car trip up the mountain is a must.
Good idea to stay near the station as the pavements are tricky with luggage. They can be cobbled and icy.
Also check if there are any exotic nightclubs nearby. we ended up at an hotel which had one underneath!! lots of noise till 3 am.
You dont need more than 2 nights at each stop over.

还要查一下附近有没有比较特别的夜总会。我们最后住的酒店楼下就有一家！一直吵到凌晨三点。
