Excellent way to experience the mountain and river views away from the road and cars.

点评：My friend and I caught the railway to Thompson and back. It was exciting and beautiful. The train went around the mountain and you could see the river below. It went over an old railway bridge and we saw a gecko sitting on a rock.
There is an 'indoor' carriage or an 'outdoor' carriage. You can listen to a commentary if you take some headphones. When it gets to Thompson they turn the engine to the back and you go in the opposite direction to get home.
There's toilets at Thompson but if you want something to eat take a packed lunch.
There's about 15-20 minutes at Thompson while they move the engine for the return.
It would have been good to have a sandwich or a drink. I walked down to the Thompson bridge and saw some boys getting ready to go kayaking down the river.
The views were really beautiful and it was exciting. Everyone was smiling.
