Amazing Zookeeper for the day experience

点评：I was fortunate enough to be gifted a zookeeper for the day experience and it was fantastic. The keepers bar none were knowledgeable, hardworking, caring about their animals. The amount of thought and care that goes into enrichment activities is extraordinary - often just visiting we dont realise how the food is presented, smells put into the enclosures and just small changes in how the enclosures are adapted make a huge difference in keeping those natural behaviours alive. I love the new signage, different food options and the education talks - who knew the giant tortoises weighed more than their silverback? Having visited Twycross Zoo for the first time it is clear how far they have come in improving the customer journey without losing the primary focus on the welfare of the animals. They are a conservation charity first and foremost and I felt privileged to spend some time behind the scenes learning most about how my membership supports the animals here and in the wild.
