点评:We arrived around 9.15am and managed to get a car parking space right near the front. We arrived early as we had heard if we don't, the car parks are crazy and you have to walk a fair bit.
There are plenty of animals, only issue is whether or not you can see them. We were relatively lucky and managed to see most of the animals at some point. We were there for 5 hours, so sometimes went back to an enclosure if we didn't see it the first time.
I can't comment on food prices as we took a picnic. There are plenty of benches to eat under cover round the corner from the park, however near the park play area, I feel there should be more benches so you can sit and watch your children play.
Before 11am it was relatively empty but throughout the day it got busier and busier, considering it was a warm day, I wouldn't say it was too busy, however at times we did have to fight through crowds to see certain animals.
The gruffalo trail was lovely (although a few interactive parts were broken) my girls (10 and 5) enjoyed it and it was nice that the staff read the book and we got to meet the gruffalo and have a photo. There was also a goats walk through where you could stroke the goats, which was nice.
There is a splash park which my girls enjoyed and were able to go into as it was a warm day and and there is also a soft play area (for an extra cost - £6 per child as we're not members)
My girls favourite part was feeding the birds, little tip, go after their feeding break. We went in the morning and the birds weren't hungry, so buying the nectar was pointless. We went again after their feeding break and there were loads wanting to eat and they landed on my kids arms which was very cool.
Only improvement I'd say is the "shows" they were supposed to be half an hour long and the one we went to lasted 10 minutes. I was under the impression there would he music, dancing games etc. Potentially, I assumed wrong but it was a very brief talk about giraffes followed by a game of Simon says. Rather boring.
Overall it was a nice day out, all staff I spoke to were friendly. I'd definitely say the nice weather helped. Had it of been a rainy day, we would not have stayed as long.
