A Fascinating but Strenuous Tour

点评：This is a great tour but be prepared; it is quite strenuous, don't do it if you're claustrophobic, and be prepared for some unexpected activities.
You go up on the funicular for about 1,000 feet but that is not the end. You then climb about 1,000 steps and walk up an inclined road for about 1/2 a mile and then up another 50 steps to get to the entrance where you don your protective clothing (to keep the dust off you). The bilingual tour starts by entering the salt mine and walking about 1/2 a mile along a mining adit with headroom of about 6 feet until you are actually into the mine. The tour then proceeds. It is very interesting and amplified by some interesting audio visual presentations. Be aware that on two occasions, your group will descend from a higher to a lower mining levels via a wooden slide. The first one has a length of 80 feet and everyone in our group managed to do it. Unbeknownst to all of us, there was a second slide about 210 feet long, which most of us managed to do. But, be beware; if you have a low threshold for excitement, this may not be for you.
The tour ends with a ride in a mining train which is also not for the claustrophobic.
In all, an absolutely fascinating but rather energetic tour (I'm 76 so take that into account).
