bouncer ruined the evening

点评：The venue is great, we came to see the bluetones and can’t fault the gig part. drinks weren’t over inflated like some places and the staff were great we had a really good experience at the gig.
However… after the gig it went downhill!
we had driven quite a way and were staying locally. as we’d bought merchandise at the gig we wanted to take it back to the hotel so as not to carry it round all night and we spoke to a guy at the door asking about dress code (limited wardrobe with us) and how much it was to get back in later. he told us that it would be free before 11pm then it will be £6 pp. Great we thought and off we went to drop stuff off.
we got back to the garage at around 11pm. to be stopped at the door by a self important doorman who decided we couldn’t come in. he wouldn’t say why at first, suggesting we “try across the road”, I told him we’d been in the gig earlier and had spoken to the guy at the door to which he said “well i’m here now” and then told us it was a “student” place… ie we were too old!!!! WTAF?
i and 53 and my partner is 49, we are hardly plankton and could have been mature students for all he knew!
i was disgusted by his attitude he was positively rude and looking down his nose at us. it ruined our night to be honest. we go to a lot of gigs and had already looked at other up coming gigs at the venue but won’t be going back in the future now, he has single-handedly put us off returning.
i wholly understand it might be a “student” type establishment but there are ways to speak to people and that was not the way to do it. We are quite able to decide for ourselves if somewhere is too full of students for us and don’t need to be abused by some bloke on a power trip!

我53岁，我伴侣49岁，我们可不是小不点儿，说不定还是个大龄学生呢！
他的态度让我非常反感，简直粗鲁无礼，还一副高高在上的样子。说实话，这毁了我们的夜晚。我们经常去看演出，之前也看过这个场地接下来的演出安排，但现在以后肯定不会再去了，他一个人就让我们彻底打消了再去的念头。
我完全理解这可能是个“学生”场所，但跟人说话的方式有很多种，而他这种做法实在太糟糕了。我们完全有能力自己判断某个地方学生是否太多，我们不需要被某个滥用职权的人欺负！
