A beautiful, peaceful escape (with one small let‑down today)

点评：Painshill Park is one of my favourite places to unwind. It’s so peaceful that I often end up spending three or four hours just wandering, taking in the scenery, and letting the world slow down a little. My dog absolutely loves it too, he’ll happily sit by the water watching his duck and geese friends, and he’s even made buddies with the resident swans, who wag their tails at him like he’s part of the family.
The only disappointment today was the café. Well‑behaved dogs aren’t allowed inside, and unfortunately all the outdoor benches were wet, so we couldn’t enjoy our usual coffee and sausage roll. It didn’t ruin the day, but it was a shame given how dog‑friendly the rest of the park feels.
Still, Painshill remains a gorgeous, calming place to spend a few hours, and we’ll definitely be back, hopefully for that coffee and sausage roll next time.
