点评：I had wanted to visit this site for decades and finally had the chance this year.
The site is serene and the 30-40 min circuit walk is worth the effort as it gives additional information and historic sites.
The information boards give an impartial view of the confrontation, and provide the background and impact on the police force and their families - so often overlooked in history books. It gave me a better understanding of both sides as I had firmly believed the Kelly side of events.
My wife is not particularly interested in bushrangers or Aust history but found this site fascinating and learned a lot on the day.
Drive is about 1.5 hours from Beechworth, the last 12 kms on gravel on a well maintained road. The site has toilets and picnic tables but very little else in the way of facilities, so recommend taking water and snacks.
