点评：The Wenham Museum contains an excellent collection of local Wenham historic artifacts & children's toys in a historic Colonial era building. Much of the Museum's building dates back to the 1660s; that portion contains historic artifacts in rooms laid out as they might have appeared in Colonial times. These rooms are spacious enough to allow large groups and/or families wander around without bumping into everything. A nice way to see how families lived centuries ago.
The more recent wings of the Museum hold themed collections of artifacts & photographs from more recent centuries. The Museum has a particularly good collection of children's toys from different eras up to the 20th Century. In addition to ancient toys & dollhouses on display inside cabinets, there are lots of reproduction toys for kids to try out in the open galleries. An operating HO model train layout will start its trains running in response to a button. Kids will like watching the trains run through scenery & towns patterned after the North Shore.
The best time to visit may be near the Christmas Holidays, when the Museum has special displays devoted to toy trains. Check the Museum's web site for the details.
