点评:Disappointing. Drove the 3 mile single track, poor quality, road to the site squeezing past many other cars coming the other way. Eventually arrived, saw the free car parking area but it had been laid with plenty of sharp jagged rocks and was also full so had to go to the main car park. Parking options were £5 for 4 hours of £8 for 8 hours. Paid £5 as didn’t expect to be there for more than four hours (and wasn’t). A very short walk to the “average” waterfall, nothing special, plenty more free and more spectacular waterfalls in Wales we have been to see. Stayed about 30 seconds, went back to main area where car park is and a small cafe/ice cream parlour. Decided not to have anything to eat or drink as prices make Starbucks look cheap. Thought I would “spend a penny/powder my nose” before tackling the road to hell again but found that a penny had to be 50p. Realising I rarely carry cash as it’s 2026 I went back to car and managed to find 50p in change. Headed back to the toilets to find what can only be described as entry turnstiles that the Bank of England would be proud of, I suspect the owners had been shopping at an MOD surplus store. Put my 50p in and headed through the big iron mangle into the toilets. Held my breath and closed my eyes, they were pretty grim and to rub salt into the wound there was a notice on the wall showing appreciation for spending “20p” to use the facilities. 20p!!! Must be a trade descriptions claim there… 🤣. Anyway, washed my hands but couldn’t dry them as the hand drier wasn’t working. Made my escape through the iron curtain and returned to my car.
I do not have an issue with an owner of a property making a little on the side to keep the place looking tidy but this is clearly an example of capitalising on a mediocre tourist “attraction” and good old rip off Britain. Big shame and I could see the disappointment in many others faces as they stayed for a similar short period and left.
Owners, you could do so much better starting with using the money to have clearly made a lot of to modernise the facilities and remove the security gates, also tell people that there is a parking charge before they drive in through your ANPR system and I see from your reviews that many have received fines despite paying the extortionate charge and some staying less than 20 minutes which I believe is a standard free entitlement in car parks.
I know you have a lot of good reviews but I sense that this may not continue.
