f you spend a day in Banjul, it’s definitely worth seeing

点评：If you’re in Banjul, it’s definitely worth checking out the Arch 22, especially because it’s one of the tallest buildings in The Gambia—or if not in The Gambia, definitely in Banjul. You have to climb stairs. There was an elevator, but it doesn’t work. Don’t expect anything too serious; I’d say if you like views from high places, you should basically go up. It has three floors, a spiral staircase—it’s not tough, actually, so you can get up with a light walk. If I look at it with a European perspective, it’s roughly like walking up to the 5th or 6th floor of an apartment building. It’s worth going up for the view, nothing else. There’s a minimal museum inside before you get to the highest point, where they show which ruler visited The Gambia, what they did, where they went. Next to it, there’s a photo exhibition. In the exhibition, they show the victims. I’m not going to tell you now why this viewpoint was built—many people have said that before. I would say if you’re interested in seeing what Banjul looks like from above, then it’s definitely worth going up. Banjul isn’t a big city, so you can really quickly learn where everything is and what’s where. I would say if you spend a day in Banjul, it’s definitely worth seeing. Also, under the viewpoint, under the Arch 22, there’s a nice little restaurant; it’s worth having a coffee or eating something there.
