A lot of green and quiet space to relax

点评：The park spans over a few km in north-east direction from the city centre and is divided into several sections: oberer, mittlerer and untlerer Schlossgarten. The lower (oberer) that is right next to the Baden-Württemberg Parliament and Staatstheater Stuttgart, is more crowded and less interesting for nature admirers. It is a nice spot for pictures and there are numerous geese in a pond.
The other two parts (mittlerer, untlerer) are separated from the former by Stuttgart Central Station. They are larger and more picturesque, very quiet in contrast to the surrounding roads and train station. Due to its size, it's a perfect place to get out from the urban routine, to walk with kids and animals, with plenty of space to relax, to sit or have a picnic. Plenty of birds there and a cute pond. There is a stunning natural history museum - Schloss Rosenstein - at the very north part of it (next to the Zoo), not covered separately on Tripadvisor and mixed with the Löwentor museum as a joint Naturkundemuseum Stuttgart, though I enjoyed the former far more and found it especially suitable for children.
The park naturally flows into the adjacent Rosensteinpark to the west, towards Löwentor and Wilhelma Zoo. In theory, one can go even further to the west through Löwentorbrücke to get to Wartbergpark and Höhenpark Killesberg. So, there is a big semi-circle of greenery around northern-central part of Stuttgart - a major hallmark of the city.
