Fabulous holiday made by Janaka
Sri Lanka Driver Tours的点评
点评：We travelled in Sri Lanka for 10 days at the end of Jan 26. We had planned a route in the SW of the island and were in touch with Hasantha to ask for his advice which he gave politely and promptly.
He met us at the airport and introduced us to our driver, Janaka, who took us straight to our first guesthouse.
Janaka is a splendid ambassador for his country. He is an excellent, unflappable driver and a mine of local information.
He was always early and waiting patiently for us. He planned journeys to make them interesting and told us stories about Sri Lanka as we travelled. He is interested, patient and respectful at all times. We learned so much more about the country because we could ask him questions and he introduced us to many local people on the way.
He always put our needs first and was constantly feeding us details to entertain and instruct us. He also taught us when we should tip and when not to, how to behave in temples and korvils, a smattering of Sinhalese words, good places to eat and where to find pepper plants, cinnamon or rambutan. And he has a good sense of humour!
He took very good care of his car which was immaculate every day, and even greater care of his guests.
If we come to Sri Lanka again, the first thing we will do is find out if Janaka is available to drive us. Thank you, Janaka, l cannot recommend you too highly.
