Perched on a hillside, it offers sweeping panoramic views of the Yokohama Bay Bridge, the bustling cargo port, and beautifully curated green spaces. We timed our visit perfectly during the rose bloom season, which made the landscape even more spectacular. From the elevated walkways and nearby waterfront, you can also spot and photograph several historic docking museum ships, like the famous Hikawa Maru, floating gracefully in the harbor.
The only minor downside is the complete lack of convenience stores, food stalls, or beverage stands within the immediate park grounds, the space is strictly preserved for quiet strolling, photography, or enjoying a private picnic on the lawn. Additionally, visitors spoiled by the massive public rose gardens in the US should manage expectations, as the rose garden here is on a much smaller, typically compact Japanese scale. Despite that, the sheer quality of the views makes it an absolute must visit.
