点评：A National Trust property set in dramatic forrested surrounds. We had amazing weather which made the outside part very memorable and although it was a hot day, the trees provided cover from the sun. Rhododendrons were starting to bloom and looked amazing with the best still to come. The walks are not for the faint hearted but worth the effort if you're able. Alternatively you can drive to most of the beauty spots. There is also a carriage route to allow you to drive to most areas and enjoy all that the property has to offer. The house was extremely interesting and it was great to understand more about Armstrong, his family and his achievements. We spent about 6 hours there and could have easily stayed longer. Visitor centre cafe was good quality and not too unreasonably priced but lots of picnic benches available if you take your own.

Amazing place full of surprises and well worth the entry fee. I highly recommend it
