点评：Two words up front: Go there. Although we had not planned to visit the library, we ended up there while Geocaching, and were absolutely delighted with the experience. Although the library’s exterior is beautifully neoclassical, it is inside where things get breathtaking. A glass-topped multi-floor rotunda is hugely photogenic, and the book-lined reading rooms, with their high vaulted ceilings, are spectacular. Of course this is what a casual visitor sees. Anyone wanting to explore the collection will have access to over 3 million books and periodicals. Practical information: Allow about an hour to visit. Entry is free. Be prepared to store all coats and backpacks on entry (but laptops are allowed if you are doing work). Photography without flash is allowed. The website contains information on accessibility, exhibitions, and cultural events. Paid group tours can be booked in advance. Allow about an hour to take it all in.
