点评:It was a rainy and cold Tuesday night in February. We booked a table for 3 last-minute, and they just about managed to fit us in, however, we were sequestered to the corner of an open conservatory, which was awkward and alienating. They did go to the trouble to provide a makeshift radiator, though. This was a “good enough” gesture.
The management and service is, at best, functional. The attitude is quite passive-aggressive, and as an experienced diner you don’t quite feel like you’re in good hands that care about customer experience or satisfaction.
One business partner of mine ordered an underflavoured and uninspired “curry of the day”, whilst my other colleague ordered a satisfying double beef burger. I wasn’t that famished, so I ordered an overpriced dirty fries with chilli. The chilli was moreish, albeit in a pedestrian way, whilst the cheese was barely melted 🤷♂️
On the whole, nothing to return to food-wise. The venue does, however, purvey a fine selection of beers and hosts lively events for the locals.
