点评：Today I brought my mother for lunch at the White Bear in Nelson, Lancashire, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
We ordered the steak and onion ciabatta with skin-on fries, coleslaw and salad. The first issue was the ciabatta itself, which appeared only half-cooked. When we opened the sandwich, there were only four small pieces of steak and very little onion inside. The salad also looked dirty and unappetising.
The only part of the meal that was enjoyable was the skin-on fries.
When I raised my concerns with the staff, they offered to have the sandwich remade, but I simply asked for some additional steak. The extra steak that was brought out was bleeding and undercooked. My mother does not eat meat that contains blood, so this was not acceptable and meant she was unable to enjoy the meal.
The staff were polite, but the quality of the food fell well below expectations. Sadly, this was not the pleasant lunch experience I had hoped for when treating my mother.
