SO GOOD WE CAME BACK TWICE best around!

点评：We went here on what was supposed to be a sunny summer’s market day, the roaring real fire & church candles on the table of this oldy worldy pub were welcoming!
Decent service and reasonably priced round!
We had the special venison lasagna with salad and Asian slaw & the wagu burger with all the trimmings, fries, salad & Asian slaw! Beautiful! Good quality locally sourced ingredients where possible, decent portions and reasonable prices! SO GOOD WE CAME BACK 2 DAYS LATER for my birthday!
The specials board has plenty on it. Starter of double baked cheese soufflé with hazelnuts & honey was to die for. The homemade meaty chicken wings were good too. Both of us decided on the homemade chicken Kiev, opting for spring greens, roasted root veg with a garlic herb sauce and truffle Parmesan fries. Whereas the other with salad and fries. After a while a dessert was ordered apple lemongrass and ginger crumble tart with local icecream. They are good with allergies - I’m anaphylactic to shellfish.
Everything they do here works, it’s understated but it’s special … so forget daylight robbery Daylesford or Michelin star in the next village this is the place! Will defo come back and recommend. (They also have a more modern glass roof restaurant area and little quirky rooms etc) Our dog was made welcome - win win all around thank you!

特色菜板上的菜品琳琅满目。榛子蜂蜜双层烤芝士舒芙蕾开胃菜简直美味到令人难以置信。自制的肉质鲜嫩的鸡翅也很好吃。我们俩都点了自制基辅鸡排，一份配春季蔬菜、烤根茎蔬菜配蒜香草本酱和松露帕玛森薯条，另一份则配沙拉和薯条。过了一会儿，我们点了一份甜点：苹果柠檬草姜味酥皮挞配当地冰淇淋。他们对过敏体质很友好——我对贝类过敏。
这里的一切都恰到好处，低调却别具一格……所以，别去戴尔斯福特那些明目张胆的宰客餐厅，也别去隔壁村的米其林星级餐厅，这里才是你的不二之选！我一定会再来，也会推荐给朋友。（他们还有一个更现代的玻璃屋顶餐厅区和一些别致的小房间等等）我们的狗狗也受到了热情接待——真是皆大欢喜，谢谢！
