点评：I put this out for people to judge who if anyone is in the right or wrong. Today me and 3 middle aged friends walked to Arncliffe from kettlewell a lovely walk , we reached the falcon at c 12 lunchtime and there were absolutely no other customers within or outside the pub. We didn’t want any food as we had sandwiches but all ordered a pint and went to drink them on one of the pubs benches outside the front of the pub on what appears to be village green not an area that forms part of the pubs grounds. We started to drink the very well kept Timothy Taylor’s beers and looked forward to having another while we ate our sandwiches. At this point what we presumed to be the landlord appeared at the pub door and shouted to us angrily “take a photograph as we won’t be here next year because of people like you” turned and disappeared back inside. We presume this was a reference to us sitting on his bench eating our own food. Now I can see what people may think but would comment, firstly we were never going to buy his food for a snack lunch stop , we had paid £18 for the drinks and intended to buy the same again , we could have sat on the public grass next to the bench and I assume he wouldn’t have objected to that. So it appears paying what would have been £36 for 2 rounds of drink is insufficient to get the use of a plastic bench that not a single other person needed or wanted. As it was he lost an £18 sale and guaranteed none of us will ever return. Cracking hospitality !
