点评：Used to absolutely love this pub - in fact I think I wrote a 5-star review here years ago. But recent visits have been very disappointing for two main reasons: the lack of food and the rudeness of the manager.
In the past we used to eat here regularly - the landlord and his son were always very friendly, in fact everyone behind the bar was great. We'd usually go for the food - there was always a great selection, including some delicious specials on the board. Over the last year or two the menu had been greatly reduced, which is a shame - sometimes it was nice to just have a sandwhich/filled roll, rather than a full meal. But even more recently, we've been told either there's no food available at all or, even more bizarrely, we cant have food if we're sitting in the garden (this on the sunniest day of the year when the garden was packed). All of this is made much worse by the manner in which that information has been imparted - on both occasions by a rude bar manager who seems almost to want the business to fail. His attitude was completely couldn't care less - he seems to almost resent having customers speak to him. It's a great pity and I worry for the future of what was once a firm favourite, not only with me but with a large extended group of friends, all of whom share my feelings.
