点评：Since the new owners took over, our village pub has genuinely been transformed for the better. The landlord, Fred, is an absolute gentleman kind, caring, and a great listener and he always makes time for a proper chat. He’s a big football fan too, which adds to the friendly, lively feel of the place. The atmosphere is superb, and the people you meet there are a real pleasure: welcoming, talkative, and genuinely good company, which makes every visit feel relaxed and enjoyable.
The quality of service now is excellent. Whether you’re popping in for just one drink or staying for the evening, you’re always greeted warmly and served with a smile. The pints are consistently refreshing and never disappoint, whether it’s your first of the night or your last. There’s also great music playing, and overall the pub feels brighter, fresher, and far more inviting than it used to.
In the past, it often felt as though the pub was stuck in time, with décor and food that didn’t suit everyone, and service that could feel a little rushed or lacking in enthusiasm. Now, it has real personality again updated, welcoming, and full of life. Every time I go in, I’m reminded why it’s become my favourite place to have a drink. For me, it’s a solid 10/10
