An excellent Coorong Cruise Day 5*
Spirit of the Coorong Cruises的点评
点评：We really enjoyed our Coorong cruise today on Spirit of the Coorong. Good weather (23C max and sunny) made it extra special, but the whole experience was fantastic.
Leaving from Goolwa wharf at 10am, we had a leisurely cruise to the barrage, seeing lots of birds and fur seals as we went through the lock. Excellent commentary from the skipper ensured that we missed nothing. Great scenery, plenty of bird life, including emus, local history and stories brought the scenes to life.
The tour included 2 stops with walks in the dunes to see specific areas. I found the second walk up and down dunes to be physically difficult, but persevered and we were treated to a drink of fresh water from a 1 m deep water hole freshly dug by Eva, one of the staff on board.
Our aboriginal guide performed some ceremonies and was very knowledgeable.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
5 * and definitely recommended.
A special treat was morning and afternoon tea, where the snacks included native produce.
You can choose to stay on board or stay on the beach if you choose not to join the walk.
