Decent Pub, Poor Food Experience

点评：We ate here today with a group of friends & though the vibe as a pub is generally good, bar a grubby glass & staff all seemed nice, we came for food, which sadly I think nobody at our table was thrilled with what arrived & even less thrilled to be charged more than menu prices, because theres more than 2 in our party. It’s a pub, not a restaurant & compared to elsewhere, the food was already over priced for what we received.
I ordered salmon with potatoes & salad. The salmon itself was nice enough, very basic, but well cooked, but the rest badly let it down.I barely had 4 small pieces of potato & the salad though large enough to just about hide the lack of other food on the plate, was the most basic tasteless salad I’ve ever had, I think the 1970s want their no dressing, lettuce cucumber & tomato boring old salad back. I couldn’t eat all of the salad as it was so bland. I would have killed for a few more spuds though as I left still hungry.
My husbands fish & chips were “okay, not the best” but a considerably smaller portion than is usual elsewhere & for less money. so again disappointing & we heard similar complaints from the rest of our party, small portions, overpriced & the extra charge for more than 2 people is a pee take, so I doubt very much that we will eat here again
