艾伯塔省议会大厦的点评
点评：We visited the Alberta Legislature Building in November of 2025 with our 12 year old child. We were able to watch some of the sitting of the legislature and also registered ahead of time and participated in the formal guided tour. It was an excellent experience from start to finish.
The building itself is beautiful with so much history. It was very interesting to watch the Legislature in session, and helped to bring the concept to life for our child who had learned about it in school. While we were there, one of the MLA's from the opposition even saw her in the gallery and sent her a lovely note, delivered by a Page, acknowledging her presence and giving advice on cool stuff to see in the building.
The guided tour was great. Our guide was knowledgeable about Alberta’s history and the parliamentary process. They explained how the legislature works in a way that was easy to understand, even for those without a background in politics or Canadian government. The mix of history, architecture, and real life comings and goings happening while we were there kept the tour engaging.
The explanations of traditions, symbolism, and how laws are passed added a lot of depth and context to what could otherwise be just a walk through a nice building.
The tour was well paced and respectful and it never felt rushed. It’s a great activity for visitors to Edmonton, but also worthwhile for Albertans who want a better understanding of how their government works.
Overall, this is a free experience that is very valuable. I’d highly recommend taking the formal tour of the Alberta Legislature.
