Great food and drink, otherwise, just missing the mark

点评：We had the pie of the day. An extremely good price point. Veg over cooked but very good pie, chips were excellent and cauliflower/leek cheese was very good and plentiful. Coffee average. Excellent selection of drinks including non-alcoholic.
Average service, I couldn't hear what one waitress was saying. Another spilt one of our drinks on the tray and no offer to replace or mop up the spillage.
Despite giving notification of our party having a wheelchair user, we were initially seated in a non wheelchair friendly booth. This was rectified immediately, just a shame notes are clearly not read.
Terrible interior layout, one table couldn't get to the loo without squeezing past the end chair of our table to the extent that had someone been sat there, the other table occupants wouldn't have been able to get through the space. All it needed was for our table to be moved 30-50cm into the main area, of which there was plenty of room.
Seating arrangements in the fire area didn't make best use of the space.
No way for a wheelchair user to get to the bar area, although this could've been accommodated if the rest of the layout was better.
Awful decor. Not enough for maximalist, not enough cohesion to make the clashes work.
The disabled loo light sensor was broken. We weren't informed of this on arrival and no temporary light was in place.
Another customer was aggressive and rude to me, having heard my criticism to my husband of the interior layout and decor and taking umbrage. I suspect wanting to impress his girlfriend.
Good food for a very reasonable price. Great drink selection. Average service. Terrible decor and layout.
It has to have the potential for a gold mine and with the current clientele I'm sure it's doing very well.
