I disappointment and unwelcoming reception.

点评：I had visited this place before when it was the location of a wake following a funeral service in Barry - and the atmosphere was just fine.
However, I returned on Friday 2nd October, coincidently with the widow of a dear friend who had passed away, and found the reception to be quite disappointing in that the assistant at the bar couldn't even raise a smile when we went to order lunch.
We both ordered curry - half & half - but the meal was so poor with the curry more like a soup without the usual thick sauce. The mango chutney was served in cheap paper cups (not quite the image for the surroundings which are brilliant). Our joint anticipation was dented by the fact that the meal was less than we had hoped for.
All in all, the experience was very poor and I don't think I will be going back there any time in the near future.
I appreciate that I should have complained to the management at the time but, given the sensitivity of spending time with a friend who was recently widowed, I didn't want to create a fuss.
