I want to give two reviews. A poor and an excellent.
巴黎大皇宮的点评
点评：The Grand Palais offers numerous exhibits.
The building is grand and impressive. I thought the café was good and well priced.
The multiple giftshops have an excellent variety.
I found the exhibits inconsistent and poorly curated.
They all felt choppy and some had English descriptions while others didn't.
Mickalene Thomas was an excellent exhibit. The first half lacked an intimacy that the art deserved. And there was no English texts.
The Jospin / Tabouret exhibit was two rooms and did not warrant the admission price.
The Centre Pompidou exhibit was exceptional yet felt poorly curated given the breadth and stature of the works.
The museum also charges for EVERY exhibit.
So you can go to D'Orsay, Vuitton, L'Orangerie for about 16 eu, the Grand Palais sets you back triple that. It's a deplorable pricing system and a cash grab.
