Pool Left Unusable Due to Hours of Screaming

点评：I had a really disappointing experience at the pool today. For over two hours, a teenager was screaming extremely loudly — not just playing or laughing, but the kind of screaming that sounds like someone is seriously hurt or in distress. Every few minutes, he will use all his strength to scream. It was constant and very disruptive. I assume he has some kind of mental health problem.
His mother didn’t attempt to calm him down or manage the situation, although a few people approached her and complained. The lifeguards and staff didn’t step in to keep things under control at all. Several people were clearly uncomfortable, and most people swimming this morning ended up leaving because they couldn’t tolerate the noise. we all talked about this in the changing room, about how stressful it was to go through.
I want to be clear — I genuinely appreciate that this is a community pool and that it supports people of all ages and abilities. That’s a great thing. But there has to be some basic level of supervision and consideration for others. Continuous screaming for hours, with no intervention, isn’t acceptable. This is a community space, for everyone.
By the time I left, the pool was almost completely empty — just the teenager and his mother remained. That says a lot. So disappointed that the pool staff dont take much responsibility for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who paid for membership for exercise.
