点评：The Pukara Archaeological Site was a pleasant and interesting stop for me along the way. The archaeological area itself isn’t very large, but you can clearly feel that it was once an important center of an ancient culture. The ruins are simple yet expressive, and it was nice to walk through them at a relaxed pace and imagine how people might have lived here long ago.
What added an extra layer to the experience was that it’s worth taking a short walk in the town of Pukara itself as well, not just visiting the ruins. The town has a calm, authentic atmosphere, very different from more touristy places. A brief stroll and a bit of wandering around help turn the stop into a more complete experience rather than just a quick visit.
Overall, Pukara is an easy, not tiring stop that works well as a break along the journey, for example between Puno and Cusco. It’s not the most spectacular site, but it’s peaceful, atmospheric, and memorable because of that.
