A Unique Wild West Experience – Great for Kids and Good Value

We visited Sioux City with my 9-year-old daughter and had a really enjoyable day out. When you first arrive, it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you walk in, it’s actually a really cool place with lots to see and do.
The whole park is set up like an old Wild West town, which was really interesting—it genuinely feels like stepping back in time. The shows were brilliant and definitely a highlight, especially seeing the cattle. There are also some great photo opportunities dotted around, which we loved.
My daughter especially enjoyed feeding the baby goats and sheep, which was a lovely hands-on experience. We also did the horse riding, which was €10 each—it’s only about 5 minutes up and down a track, but still fun and worth doing once.
It’s the kind of place where, once you’ve explored it, you’ve more or less seen everything, so I’d recommend taking your time and enjoying it at a relaxed pace rather than rushing around.
The staff were lovely and friendly, and the park was nice and quiet when we visited. Food and drinks were reasonably priced (a nice surprise compared to other attractions), and there weren’t any unexpected costs once inside.
One tip—make sure you look into the free shuttle bus, as we didn’t realise it existed and ended up paying for a taxi unnecessarily.
It was very hot when we went, and the environment is quite rugged, sandy, and dusty, so definitely come prepared for that.
Overall, it was a really good day out, especially for the price. A unique and fun experience, for adults and for kids.
