My Perfect First SCUBA Dive
Scuba Tamarindo的点评
点评：I took the SCUBA tour with Scuba Tamarindo, booked through Iguana Surf. It was FANTASTIC. I have done snorkeling a fair amount before, and I'm a fairly adventurous person in general; but I've never done SCUBA before this.
Veronica was my instructor and she was the BEST! She gave me a briefing in the morning on the basic skills neededto certify for the day. It seemed like so many things to remember; but she went over everything again on the boat. Then, she went over it step by step as we actually did the 2 dives. I was never nervous, because she made it so easy, and I knew she would help with anything if needed.
We took a taxi boat from the beach in Tamarindo out to the actual dive boat and climbed aboard. The boat was stocked with fruit, snacks, juice and water for the 40-min or so journey out to the Catalina Islands and back. We saw a couple of dolphins on the way, plus the captain played some Bob Marley while we rode, which is always a win for me!
The dives were so fun!! For me, the big highlight was the ENORMOUS giant manta rays. They must have been 20 feet across the wingspan or something. They were surprisingly HUGE, and gentle giants--absolutely awe-inspiring! We probably saw 5 of them, and they slowly cruised by, just a few feet away like we weren't even there. I think I might have held my breath LOL. We also saw some white tipped reef sharks, puffer fish, eels, some kind of sea snake, a rock fish, several big school of fish, tons of other beautiful tropical fish, starfish, and probably several things I'm forgetting right now.
Veronica also took some awesome pics and videos for me to memorialize the experience, which I was super grateful for. Thank you for everything, Vero and Scuba Tamarindo!

潜水太好玩了！！对我来说，最大的亮点是看到了巨大的蝠鲼。它们的翼展估计有20英尺（约6米）那么长。它们体型惊人，而且性情温和——真是令人叹为观止！我们大概看到了5条，它们缓缓游过，离我们只有几英尺远，仿佛我们根本不存在。我当时可能都屏住了呼吸，哈哈。我们还看到了白鳍礁鲨、河豚、鳗鱼、某种海蛇、石斑鱼、好几大群鱼、数不清的其他美丽的热带鱼、海星，可能还有一些我一时想不起来的。
