I’ve been coming to this golf course for many years and have always had positive experiences—especially recommending it to friends who are new to the game. Typically, when play is a bit slow, we’re courteous and let faster groups play through. It’s never been an issue—until recently.
During our last round, a staff member named Ubaid, acting as the marshal, approached us around the 5th hole and abruptly told us we needed to skip the next two holes because we were supposedly 12 minutes behind schedule. This was surprising, as the group of four behind us wasn’t even close. In fact, we had offered to let them play through earlier, and they declined—they were going at a similar pace to us.
What was most disappointing was Ubaid’s demeanor. He was unnecessarily aggressive and raised his voice at us. At one point, while shouting, spit landed on one of our faces—completely unacceptable behavior in any setting, let alone at a golf course.
To make matters worse, after we finished our round and were relaxing in the clubhouse, he approached us again to continue the confrontation, despite us asking him multiple times to leave us alone.
This experience was shocking and completely out of line with the usually high standards of service I’ve come to expect here. I’ve always loved this course, but unless there are changes—particularly regarding this staff member—I will be hesitant to return, and I can no longer recommend it to others.
