点评:Vets in action was really good! I thought the event might be a bit young for my 11 year old girls but I was wrong!!! The girls became completely immersed, they dined their coats and stethoscopes and treated all of the poorly animals… they were even a little concerned for the injured rabbit! The talk by Miles about the chimpanzees was really informative and no question was too silly! Whilst some audience members might have scoffed at the children’s questions, he explained everything thoroughly, no such thing as a silly question! The explanations weren’t dumped down and Miles was obviously passionate about the animals.
Claire, Marion and Sarah were fabulous, knowledgeable volunteers that we met, all 3 of them offered different and interesting information about the animals and they all engaged with the children.
It was freezing and a lot of the animals were inside but this meant that we got to see the baby rhino and giraffes close up.
Delicious food that was hot, well presented and brought to our table really quickly at The Base Camp and welcome hot chocolates from the Dessert Den.
A fabulous day to brighten up our half term. Thanks all x
