点评：A Rediscovery on Highway 12. As part of our ongoing journey visiting local wineries, we finally stopped at B.R. Cohn. I’ve passed the sign for years, and as a San Francisco native and long-time Doobie Brothers follower, I was well aware of the history. In the past, I’ve bought their goods occasionally—finding them always good, but not necessarily remarkable. This visit changed that.
We stopped in during the late afternoon, just before an early dinner at Stella up the road, and were taken excellent care of by Sandee. She was full of history about the winery and passionate about the products, making our visit both relaxed and informative. Her knowledge and no-pressure assistance were refreshing, especially given the current state of the wine industry.
My wife commented that very few wineries we have visited over the years have presented us with such a 'bounty of deliciousness.' The wines were exceptional:
The Favorite: 2022 Malbec, Olive Hill Estate, Sonoma Valley.
Runner Up: Quintet Red Wine Blend.
Honorable Mentions: The Cab Franc and Cabernets are solid contenders.
The experience was five stars across the board, from the wines to the grounds, and above all, the service. We were so impressed that we joined the Legends Club on the spot to take advantage of the reciprocal rights to the Adair family of wineries. Kudos to the whole team!
