Overall: An interesting and unusual place, but not one we would rush back to visit.

点评：We visited MONA late in the afternoon, arriving at around 3:30pm. Unfortunately, our first interaction wasn't particularly welcoming. We were rather bluntly informed by a staff member that we only had 1.5 hours left before closing. To be honest, that was plenty of time for us, but it didn't set a great tone for the visit.
The museum itself is certainly unique and surreal. It's unlike any other museum we've visited. However, unless you download and use the app, it's very difficult to understand what you're looking at. There is little to no traditional signage beside the exhibits, which left us feeling quite lost at times.
The building is also very dark, and despite the interesting architecture, we found ourselves getting turned around and lost on several occasions. While some visitors may enjoy the sense of exploration, we found it frustrating rather than engaging.
As for the art itself, we appreciate that art is highly subjective and personal. Unfortunately, very little of what we saw resonated with us. Some exhibits felt deliberately provocative and, at times, crossed into territory that we found unnecessarily perverse.
Adding to the experience, we were reminded multiple times throughout our visit that the museum was about to close, which made it difficult to relax and take in the exhibits at our own pace.
We completely understand why MONA has such a strong reputation and loyal following, and many people clearly love it. However, it simply wasn't for us. If you're considering a visit, I'd recommend arriving earlier in the day and downloading the app beforehand, as it seems essential to getting the most out of the experience. And I wouldnt recommend taking any children.
