Beautiful gardens with so much variety

点评：I visited Arley Hall & Gardens in July and had a wonderful few hours exploring the grounds. The variety of the gardens was the highlight for me – from the colourful herbaceous borders and beautifully clipped formal gardens to the peaceful woodland garden with its ferns, bridges and winding paths. Every area had its own character and there was always something new to discover.
The Hall itself is an impressive building and looks stunning from the outside. The entrance through the historic clock tower into the courtyard is a lovely way to begin exploring.
The gardens are immaculately maintained and there are plenty of benches where you can stop, rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. If you enjoy photography, it’s a fantastic place, with beautiful views around almost every corner.
The visitor facilities are excellent, with a lovely café, clean toilets, good accessibility and a dog-friendly site. One thing to be aware of is that there is a fairly long walk from the car park to the entrance. If walking longer distances is difficult, it’s worth allowing extra time. A couple of benches along this route would make a welcome addition.
At £11 (reduced from the usual £13 as part of the Government’s Great British Summer Savings Scheme when I visited in July), I thought it represented excellent value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would happily return in another season to see how the gardens change throughout the year.
