点评：Dorset coast! Durlston Country Park is one of the most beautiful and varied places we’ve visited in the UK. From dramatic clifftop walks with breathtaking views across the sea to peaceful woodland trails teeming with wildlife, it has something for everyone.
The highlight for us was the magnificent Great Globe – a massive 40-ton Portland stone sphere carved in the 1880s, perched right on the clifftop. It’s utterly impressive up close and makes for such a unique photo opportunity with the dramatic coastline as a backdrop. Standing there with the wind in your face, looking out over the English Channel, feels truly special.
The park is wonderfully maintained, with clear paths, helpful information boards, and plenty of benches to sit and soak in the views. We spotted a variety of birds, including puffins and peregrine falcons, and even saw dolphins playing offshore on a clear day. The visitor centre is excellent too, with a lovely café for a well-earned cup of tea and cake after your walk.
