点评：Went here with my grandson who is a history buff, and enjoy what can only be described a scary cold war relic and reminder of what could have been if the bombs gad fallen. The place is a bit run down and the oath through the woods very uneven. No staff were seen throughout out visit but there are lots of " don't touch, you are being watched" digns everywhere. The tours is self guided using old fashioned hand held " wands", mine ran out of charge by item 8" and there is no way to get a replacement. They say the auto was built on around 5 months when originally created, a rwal achievement and one i very much foubt coulcbe repeated today. There is quite a lot to see and a number of extracts from the public service film " protect and survive " to scare the visitor, alongside some equally scary and tatty mannequins. Been to a few similar sites of regional government and this one really does need to be refreshed to bring the visitor experience up to date. I appreciate that the place itself has to stay real and true to its history but it just gives the impression of lack of care for the overall experience. You pay by card at the end of the visit which is ok and the system works on trust, a rarity these days. The cafe us a bleak affair and one wonders how long some of the items have been there. Parking is free, which is a bonus, and i thought the £28 entrance fee for the 2 of us was good value overall for a sobering reminder of what could have been.
